Maura M. Guyer, Pt, PRC

Maura graduated from the University of Vermont's physical therapy program in 2002. She has worked in an outpatient practice for most of her career. She earned a certification in the Postural Restoration (PRC) approach to PT in 2005. She enjoys working with people of all ages and looking at the whole body to develop treatment plans. She has continued her education through the Institute of Physical Art learning Functional Manual Therapy, Polestar Pilates earning Level 1-6 certificates in teaching pilates and incorporating pilates into treatments, and the University of New England Osteopathic Manual Medicine. Among other additional training, Maura is certified in using instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) to improve function and performance and is also trained in Dry Needling to improve pain and soft tissue dysfunction. Maura enjoys working with PT students from UVM to help them develop their skills as physical therapists. In her free time, Maura loves spending time with her husband and two daughters, spending time with her extended family and friends, enjoying the lake and mountains of Vermont, skiing and traveling.

Pamela McGonagle, Office Manager

Pamela has over 30 years of office management experience including project management for the Vermont Alcohol Research Center. She has been at Momentum since 2007. Her organizational skills and attention to detail make her an excellent liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, reading, traveling (especially spur of the momentum motorcycle trips.) She enjoys spending time with her family (especially her son), cooking, reading, & traveling. She lives in Burlington with her beloved dog Maddie.

Abby Ribout, PTA

Abby graduated from Penn State University in 1998 with an Associates of Science in Physical Therapy Assistance. In her 10 years of clinical experience, she has obtained extensive knowledge in treating people of all ages with orthopedic and sports-related injuries. She has advanced continuing education in the Postural Restoration approach. Her hobbies include running, biking, hiking, and cross-country skiing.

Emma Ernst, DPT, CIDN

Emma graduated from the University of Vermont in May 2011 with a Clinical Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. She specializes in orthopedic and sports physical therapy and biomechanical running assessments. Since graduation Emma has worked in an outpatient orthopedic practice and she enjoys incorporating postural restoration and Pilates-based rehabilitation techniques into her treatment programs. She is certified in Advanced Dry Needling through Integrative Dry Needling. Outside of work, Emma is an avid runner and also enjoys cycling, hiking, skiing, playing soccer and spending time with her family.

Pat graduated with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from University in 1996. She began her career working with the VNA in Centeral Vermont providing physical therapy in homes, schools, and skilled nursing facilities. In 2008, Pat received her Pilates Certification from Polestar Pilates and in 2010 she completed training as a group leader for the Tai Chi For Arthritis program sponsored by the Arthritis Foundation. Over the past year, Pat has continued to expand her knowledge base by participating in continuing education courses offered through the University of New England's Osteopathic Medical School focusing on manual therapy skills. Pat is a life-long learner and enjoys doing Pilates, Zumba, and TRX training when she is not reading or travelling to spend time with her daughters.

Sue joined us in 2013 with twenty plus years of Front Desk experience. She realizes the importance of a pleasant customer experience - whether it's your first phone call, your first visit or you’re a regular, Sue strives to make each interaction a pleasant one. She can assist you with your insurance, billing questions, or scheduling needs. Sue enjoys traveling to Florida and NYC to see her family and friends. She also likes to read, listen to music, garden, and spend time outdoors. Hiking in Grand Isle has become one of her new favorite pastimes, but she will always take a walk on the beaches of Anna Maria Island as her first passion. She also savors spending time with her pets, and most of all her Grandpuppies.

Emily Day graduated from the University of Vermont in 2017 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and is excited to be part of the Momentum team. She has a variety of clinical experiences including outpatient orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation. She enjoys working with people of all ages and believes that improving mobility can improve everyone’s quality of life. She’s been pleased to integrate Postural Restoration into her treatment approach as well as designing custom therapeutic exercise programs for her patients. In her free time she enjoys hiking, biking, cooking, traveling, and enjoying live music.

Katy Winterhalter, DPT

Katy Winterhalter graduated from Franklin Pierce University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2016. She has spent time in Colorado before moving back east to Vermont to continue her career. She has three years of experience in outpatient orthopedics, and enjoys working with people of all fitness levels. She also has education in vestibular rehabilitation, from treating vertigo to cervicogenic dizziness. She has a background as a gymnast and dancer, and has coached both extensively during her time in Physical Therapy school. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Gus, as well as skiing and rock climbing to keep active!

Nickii is a native Vermonter and earned both her bachelors degree and clinical doctorate from The University of Vermont. Her career began in the field of Civil Engineering working in Boulder, CO. When she realized her passion for helping people and her fascination with the way the human body works, she returned to VT and UVM to pursue physical therapy. Since earning her DPT in 2012, she has worked in outpatient clinic settings. She enjoys working with people of all ages with orthopedic and sports related injuries. She takes a whole-body, functional approach into consideration when designing a treatment plan. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, cooking, playing soccer, as well as hiking, biking and skiing with her family.

Alex Warshaw, DPT

Alex attended the University of Vermont where she received a B.S. in Exercise Science followed by a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2020. Born and raised in VT, Alex is very excited to now be a part of the Momentum Team because she was originally inspired to become a PT after receiving care at Momentum herself. Alex has had clinical experience in various outpatient and inpatient settings, and enjoys applying the skills she learned in each setting to provide well rounded care for her patients. Alex has a strong interest in treating chronic pain, as well as helping people from all walks of life become more active, and fit, in order to live life to their fullest potential. Outside of work Alex enjoys spending time with friends and family, working out, biking, and enjoying the outdoors.
