Our Approach:

We utilize a variety of techniques including Postural Restoration, therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, functional mobilizations, aquatic therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization) to provide acute and chronic pain relief with regard to long term prevention strategies. Our goal is to maximize your ability to participate in activities of daily living as well as your occupational, recreational and athletic endeavors.

Postural Restoration is a therapeutic approach that assesses multiple systems in the body including the respiratory, musculoskeletal and nervous system. If those systems are not working together at the correct time in the correct position, dysfunctional patterns of movement occur that lead to stress and strain on tendons, ligaments, muscles and ultimately cause pain.

Dry Needling

Momentum Physical Therapy is now offering Dry Needling with four trained and qualified practitioners. Dry Needling is a service which uses the neuromuscular system to help improve soft tissue tightness, circulation, and reduce pain by restoring normal tissue function. Dry Needling can be combined with your traditional therapy to assist in returning to all activities and full function.

Running Gait Assessment

Improve your performance and reduce your risk for injury with a Running Gait Assessment. This service uses videography to effectively analyze your stride. It compares your natural movement and patterns to benchmarks and will help us coach you on making minor adjustments that will enhance your performance.

In their words:

Momentum PT is a great place. I really like the whole body approach they take to treating patients. All your body parts work together so it makes sense if one part isn’t working right they’re all not working right. Momentum staff make sure everything works together again. Their staff is awesome, very professional but fun too. I recommend Momentum to anyone who needs great PT.

Doing Pilates at Momentum is amazing because of the level of self-awareness one can develop with the guidance of the highly-trained instructors, who are also the very same physical therapists who treat and ‘learn’ each individual strengths or limitations of the clients in their care.

The therapists at Momentum Physical Therapy are excellent. They are extremely knowledgeable about anatomy and they look at the whole body and how it relates to your injury. I have seen many PTs in the area and the staff at Momentum are the best. I was most recently treated after surgery for a torn ACL and I am back on the slopes this season. I feel stronger than I did before my surgery!”
